Actually really really good.

VERY simple, but it doesnt matter, because its interesting and quirky, and at some points you sit there thinking "well... I dont have any idea what the hells going on, but lets roll with it because I wanna see what happens."

Its very short, and ends quite abruptly, but its well worth the time. if you're a fan of indie games, give this a go.. I especially loved the sound track.
Interesting story. I still had to cheat to finish the game but I never try too hard with these kinds of games, I just enjoy.
Ive bought the second game and will play next. The soundtrack is dlc so I hope
i like it as much as this first game.. I want a sideways thumb because this game has potential to be a real PC game instead of a browser game.

I like the idea but the puzzels are a little confusing. I only used the wikipedia near the very end for the fourth light bulb but I walked around alot. The secerets are a nice touch but easy to find. The game being made in flash makes the game to go below 30 FPS although my computer sucks, this is still a problem. One of the major problems that I had were the glitches. Suprisingly none of these were game breaking except one but that was fixed with a restart. For some reason, at least for me, I could see other panes while in each individual pane and this allowed me to move to parts of the level that would be otherwise impossible without doing the proper steps to do it vanilla. This allowed me to skip a very large part of the game, that invloves a broken train, and get to the next part. Now I did not know this until I watched a walkthrough but I could have completed the game without ever going through that part. In other parts, it just looks ugly. This could be a problem when playing in higher resolutions such as 1920 x 1080. The length of the game is short as it only took me less than 2 hours to complete. This game may or may not be the game for you but I enjoyed the story and I want this to be a positive review.

I understand how lame this review is but I suck at reviewing games. On a last thought there should be Achievements and better optimization.

Look I'm putting a positive review but it is borderline not worth youe money at the moment.
. I liked it. It's a short, simple point and click adventure. It doesn't take too long to solve, although there are a couple of puzzles that are a little infuriating - it's not that those ones are hard, more that I really couldn't be bothered going through the steps of solving them. But I did and I managed to finish it.

As you can see from my play-time in game, it took me half an hour to finish. I don't have a problem with that for the sake of a few pence. Heck, I made the money selling trading cards (for other games) so it didn't cost me anything.

Short, simple, clever in places and worth half an hour to an hour of my time. Jolly fun.. This game is a good game but it looks a bit creepy. Abandoned is a short point-n-click puzzle game that dwells on the story of a brother that searches for his adventurous missing sibling by following his clues through puzzles and exploration.

The game doesn't have amazing mechanics and neither is it as intuitive as it could be. However, its graphics are pretty well done and its length is short enough that its faults don't drag on and make for a boring or frustrating experience.

All in all, I recommend this game for the selected few who enjoy both point-n-clicks and puzzles; don't have uber high expectations for this humble indie title that attempts and succeeds at being just what it is, and nothing more.

PS: Gave me a distant Lovecraftian vibe, especially his The Nameless City.. Short and occasionally confusing but ultimately entertaining --albeit very short.
The hand drawn environments are a nice touch, too.. like submachine but without Skutnik

now I spect 10 games, like in submachine men. Reasons that I'm not recommending this game:

1. The story is poorly written to the point where it might have been a stronger game with only exploration and no story at all. The characters have no personality at all, they don't even have names.

2. The puzzles are mostly okay, but nothing very special. Most of the difficulty seems to lie in realising that you have to do some things that other games do not require. For example, when opening a locked hatch you have to realise you not only need to use the key, but also click on the lock afterwards, not the hatch, to move it away, and then click on the hatch.

3. Similar to Nr.2, but infuriating enough to deserve it's own point: who makes a game with two core mechanics (clicking or using items on something) and then expects the player to realise at one of the last puzzles that you need slide a freaking door out of the way? Not click, slide. Wanna have a drag item mechanic? Sure, why not, but then introduce it early and/or in such a way that the player realises this is even an option.

4. I finished it, but I can't say I enjoyed it much. The beginning was okay and it mostly looks nice, but the atmosphere and the satisfaction of solving puzzles was not there.. I feel rather disappointed. The game is short and badly integrated with Steam; the puzzles are mostly obvious, but sometimes very obscure (primarily those coloured chambers); the plot (of Lovecraftian roots, I assume) leaves an impression that this is rather an intro to the actual game. The art, the ambient and the atmosphere are quite well, but I expected more and now feel unsatisfied. Considering all this, it is no wonder that the game's title now seems to me a bad omen.
